Triumph is the best way to describe the biggest moments in the classical music world this year. From maestro James Levine overcoming two years of illness and returning to the podium on a motorized wheelchair, to a Canadian architect designing an important cultural addition to the St. Petersburg skyline, this year in music proved that anything can, and will, happen.

How exciting to see VC4, not only in the Top 10, but in the Top 3. This was my second year participating in Eric Whitacre's Virtual Choir. The experience has certainly opened up new opportunities for me, from meeting Eric Whitacre in person, to winning a teaching award and meeting some wonderful singers from around the world.

This year, six of my students participated in Virtual Choir 4.0 with me. They had a blast! Two of them joined me in trying to provide some tech support for some last minute submissions.

I was also able to sing "with" friends from university days. We haven't seen each other in years!
