Happy Bucky Day!  Can't stay to blog but I'm listening and wanted to say hey!  My Secret Santa parcel just arrived: trying to hold off opening it it til Dec 23 -- isn't there an opening ceremony on the blog that day?

Yay Whitehorse!

Kirk [265]: Well said. I agree with you. Why wouldn't you want your favourite band to become popular and have more exposure and be able to afford being a band.

I've also argued with my friends to no end about the merits of Tegan and Sara's new found success ... (which I assume you're referencing in your caveat)

No Longer Lurking - Visited my wife's family and ate until we had trouble breathing. The usual American Thanksgiving goodness. Also we got a cat!

Plus, my 15 month old grandson is crazy about Whitehorse. Funny how early their preferences form.

I honestly have no idea about Child of the '80s. I was voting for Yacht Club because what's more '80s than ostentatious yachts?

canadajanes, you have a pet! I'm pleased about that. Good thing you didn't get a dog, though, because then the next step is children.

I've said many times before that people should not bother trying to justify their tastes. Taste is a personal thing. You like something or you don't. Most of the time, if you start trying to justify why you like one thing but not another, it sounds pretty contrived, It appeals to you or it doesn't.

simple.
