Listen to CBC Music's Seasonal Favourites stream

There's no re-gifting CBC Music's festive collection of yuletide classics and seasonal hits from your favourite artists — this playlist makes the perfect soundtrack to spruce up all your holiday happenings.

Stuff the stockings with jazz and pop standards from charismatic crooners like Michael Bublé, Harry Connick Jr. and Etta James; enjoy eggnog with a vintage twist from Rat Pack icons like Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra; rock the reverence with soul-inspired gospel numbers by Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston; steal a moment under the mistletoe while playing “Santa Baby” or “All I Want for Christmas is You,” or cozy up by the fire for fun renditions of “Baby It’s Cold Outside” and “Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow.”

This expertly curated selection is also available on the go, so transport yourself from the dreary commute of crowded public transit to the idyllic plains of Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas” or an invigorating walk in a “Winter Wonderland.” Inject a splash of sunshine into your cold, cold night with the Beach Boys' "Little Saint Nick." At a boring corporate soirée made even drearier by elevator muzak? Just press play, put on a pair of shades and get the party started. You’ll save the night and convince your co-workers you’re a DJ wiz without doing anything as the playlist transitions from Wham’s “Last Christmas” to Justin Bieber’s “Mistletoe.” Plus, with more songs added throughout November and December, there will be hours of familiar tunes to spark fun, family-friendly sing-alongs for long car rides, unwrapping presents or a post-turkey dinner dance break.

CBC Music hopes you enjoy our stream of seasonal favourites! Let us know what you think of the mix in the comments below.

"Never too early"? Way too early say I. How about going back to one-hit wonders or anything else instead?!!  It'll be tough not to be sick of Christmas music by the time the holiday actually comes around.

No, it is NEVER too early, as long as you don't start until after Remembrance Day!!  There are way too many Scrooge's out there and the music of "the season" lets us get into the spirit.

Seasonal music should not be pushed on people this far away from the actual date. Just think, would you listen to "Monster Mash" in the first week of September to get into the Halloween spirit? I think not. This isn't about being a scrooge, this is about enjoying each time of the year with as much appreciation as we give the holidays.
