Featuring music samples that range from Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring to the theme music from the film The Toxic Avenger, the Beastie Boys' robot-heavy, powerhouse hit "Intergalactic" has landed spots in major video games, TV shows and Hollywood flicks. It also won a Grammy for best rap performance in 1999.

But it turns out the track's power isn't just from all of those samples, buzzes and bleeps; in fact, when you strip out all of the sounds and get down to the vocals alone, they pack a serious wallop.

Check them out here — then check out other incredible isolated vocal tracks below, from Kurt Cobain to Adele to Eminem.

Other isolated vocal tracks:

Marvin Gaye's "I Heard it Through the Grapevine"

Adele's "Rolling in the Deep"

The Rolling Stones’ "Gimme Shelter"

Queen’s "We Are the Champions"

Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit"

Nirvana's "Drain You"

The Beach Boys' "God Only Knows"

Eminem’s "Lose Yourself"

The Beach Boys' "Wouldn’t it Be Nice"
