The National Arts Centre Orchestra headed to China on Oct. 4 for a two-and-a-half-week tour of the country. The orchestra will perform eight major concerts over the course of the tour, as well as take part in more than 80 educational and outreach activities and five broadband video conference events, linking young musicians in the two countries. This is the first time in the orchestra's 44-year history that the orchestra has played in China.

Prior to departing, the orchestra played a preview of their Chinese set on their home stage at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. Below, a few highlights from that concert.

TD Live Music About TD Live Music

We know live music is great. We get to come together to hang out with passionate crowds, cheer at the top of our lungs, move to our favorite songs and make life long memories.

It connects us. And in a world that's becoming increasingly busy and remote that's something special.

It's no wonder then why we're committed to bringing people together for the love of music.

Being the fans that we are, TD is proud to celebrate its 11th anniversary of supporting live music. From Victoria to Halifax, we sponsor over 60 live music events.
