Note: This contest is now closed. Congratulations to Deb P from Winnipeg who correctly identified statement 3 as the lie.

Glenn Gould will posthumously receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grammys this year, an award that has previously been given to musical greats Igor Stravinsky, Oscar Peterson and James Brown.

The academy cites Gould's "deeply personal and shocking musical interpretations" as part of what makes the four-time Grammy winner such an exceptional artist. The award will be accepted on Gould’s behalf at a special ceremony on Feb. 9.

Before the award is officially given out next month, CBC Radio 2's Tempo wants to give you a chance to get reacquainted with Gould. See below for your chance to win a copy of Glenn Gould on Television, a 10 DVD box set.

To enter, we’ve set up a little game of two truths and a lie. Of the three statements below, two are true and one is not. It's up to you to spot the lie.

1. Glenn Gould preferred his coffee double-double.

2. Glenn Gould’s least favourite composer was Mozart.

3. Glenn Gould’s favourite pop band was the Beatles.

Identify the false fact and send an email to tempo@cbc.ca before 11:59 p.m. PT on Wednesday, Jan. 16. One winner will be chosen and announced on Thursday’s Tempo, Jan. 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. local time (9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Newfoundland).
