With the NHL ready to hit the ice, and Hockey Night in Canada ready to launch its 60th season on Saturday, we asked the man behind Coach’s Corner to set his mp3 player to “random” and tell us which five tracks came up first.

Don Cherry’s playlist reveals an affinity for Sinatra, 1983 Lincolns and musicals. Judging by his love of Deadmau5, he’s also still in touch with his techno/electronic roots.

“I like all of Deadmau5’s music, but only play it is in my black 1983 Lincoln –  gets me in a pumped-up mood.”
