Classic rock legends Heart are back with their 14th studio album, Fanatic, which hits stores on Oct. 2. We’re streaming the whole album for free here on CBC Music until its release.
Fanatic was recorded in hotel rooms and studios along the West Coast, and Seattle's Ann and Nancy Wilson even ventured north of the border. The track “Walkin’ Good” is a duet with Canadian singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan, and “Rock Deep (Vancouver),” a tribute to Heart’s former home base.
The Wilson sisters have been recording hit records for almost 40 years, and can take credit for “Barracuda,” “Magic Man,” “Crazy on You” and “These Dreams,” among many others. They’re not ready to stop any time soon. The album’s title track is about their lust for life, and their fanaticism for everything life has to offer.
Check back later for an interview with the band. Until then, enjoy Fanatic, which you can pre-order now on iTunes.
