We're working hard over here to stay on the cutting edge. It's all part of our mission to not only promote Canadian talent, but to make sure you're hip to it before everybody else (after all, it's all about the bragging rights, right?).
The buzz continues to grow on Yukon Blonde, the Vancouver band that seems to have gleaned the hookiest elements of the '60s, '70s and '80s, and fused them in their home nuclear reactor. They strike me as a sort of Beach Boys for the new millenium.
We have Yukon Blonde in concert in CBC Vancouver, recorded just as they were releasing their album Tiger Talk. Have a listen on Concerts on Demand, or tune in to Canada Live on August 2, and tell us if you think the buzz is warranted.
If you need visuals with your audio, here's their performance of "Stairway" at CBC Vancouver.
