After all, as co-frontman with Blue Rodeo, he's won an armful of awards, played all the prestigious stages, even got inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. Cuddy and Greg Keelor write pretty much all the material for Blue Rodeo, and Cuddy sings a fair amount of lead vocal. What need has he for a side project? Cuddy's response: "the songs tend to be a lot more personal that what I write for Blue Rodeo." So Cuddy bares a little more of his soul as a solo artist.
Many of the songs on Cuddy's latest album Skyscraper Soul are songs that didn't end up in the soundtrack he wrote for his wife Rena Rolley's short film Four Sisters. You can hear cuddy and his band perform many of those songs live by listening now on Concerts on Demand, or on the August 9 episode of Canada Live.
