Metals
is Feist's fourth studio record and the followup to 2007's The Reminder. Leslie Feist set to work on the songs for the album in the fall of 2010, after taking a two-year break from writing and performing. The songs were written in Toronto and recorded at a barn in Big Sur, Calif. The record was co-produced by fellow Canadian talents Mocky and Chilly Gonzales, along with Icelandic producer Valgeir Sigurðsson. Earlier this year, Feist's hard work was recognized with two Junos: Artist of the year, and adult alternative album of the year for Metals.

If you haven't ventured past melancholy brainworms like "How Come You Never Go There" and "The Bad In Each Other," now's your chance to find out why this album is on the 2012 Polaris Prize shortlist.
