John Mayer's Born and Raised was the number one album on the Billboard charts when it was released this spring. And that, despite the fact that the 34-year old singer-songwriter could not promote the album properly due to a battle with a vocal condition called granuloma.

Here, in the second of a trio of acoustic performances exclusive to CBC Music, Mayer performs "Shadow Days," from his latest album.
