If you’ve been hearing Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” for months and you’re frustrated you can’t buy an actual album by the Canadian singer, you’re in luck. Jepsen has announced her new album will be released on Sept. 18 and will be called Kiss. According to a statement, the album will feature songs co-written by Jepsen with such pop heavyweights as Max Martin, Dallas Austin and RedFoo of LMFAO.
“Call Me Maybe” just spent its ninth week atop the Billboard Hot 100. That’s one week longer than Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know” reached earlier this year. It’s not clear Kiss will include “Call Me Maybe” but it will feature a yet-to-be-titled collaboration with Justin Bieber. Jepsen will also hit the road as Bieber’s opening act this fall.
Kiss, Jepsen's second album, will feature Jepsen’s collaboration with Owl City, “Good Time,” which is currently number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100.
