To mark the 100th anniversary of the Calgary Stampede, CBC's Russell Bowers asked listeners of Daybreak Alberta to nominate their favourite cowboy-inspired songs of all time. Their efforts helped us build The Stampede 100, a brand new dedicated CBC Music stream that launches today, July 4.
The 100-song stream runs until July 27, and features an eclectic mix of Canadian and international cowboy songs to help you get in a western state of mind, no matter where you are.
Click here to launch the stream and listen to classic and contemporary country songs by artists including Canadians Terri Clark, Blue Rodeo, Buffy Sainte-Marie and Wilf Carter alongside American stalwarts such as Johnny Cash, Lyle Lovett and Willie Nelson.
