In a fun little series we’ll revisit over the summer with some of your favourite musicians, we’ve taken Justin & Dave’s Awesome Would You Rather? board game and mined it for questions to reveal, as the game says, the “deep dark secrets, strange inner truths and bizarre and unusual desires” of the people playing. Some of the questions have been tweaked for our own selfish needs.
Songstress Andrea Menard is our first Would You Rather? contestant. Having recently relocated to Vancouver from her home of Saskatoon, Menard can be seen on APTN’s award-winning series Blackstone. She is currently fundraising for her next album, called Lift!, and hopes to be in the recording studio this fall. In the meantime, here is a glimpse into the mind of Menard.
Would you rather always have to wear 28-inch stiletto heels or clothing made from live salamanders?
Live salamanders for sure. Because I would feed them and take care of them and we could become the best of friends. Heels – kill me now!
Would you rather work at a company where you are given great health benefits or where Thursday is "no pants" day?
Definitely no pants day! I love to be naked so this is just one step closer to being the total free bohemian nudie that I am.
Would you rather have your eyes always moving as if watching a ping-pong match or be limited to cleansing yourself with a DustBuster?
Wow. Weird question. Um. Ping-pong eye movement I guess because I would learn to see the world differently.
Would you rather have Adele as a romantic advisor or Carmen Electra?
God help me. Um. Adele, because she has got a soulful depth to her and, although she hasn't been lucky in love, she learns as she goes.
Would you rather have total control of all internet traffic or have total control of all freeway traffic?
Freeway traffic. Let's just move these little cars out of the way. Over here. No, over here.
