Every week on The Incident, I uncover a secret about the musicians you love. It could be a story from the road, a tale from inside the recording studio, or just one of the crazy things that happens to a working musician.

This week: Carole Pope pulls back the curtains and let's you look into the world of David Bowie in the early 1980s.

Carole Pope is perhaps best known for her band Rough Trade. The Toronto act had a lot of fans, but also a lot of love from their peers. This Incident has a little of everything, David Bowie, groupies, Learjets, sushi -- you get the idea.

In 1983, Bowie embarked on a tour that would outsell, outlast and attact more fans than any of his other outings.  The Serious Moonlight tour featured close to 100 concerts and 2.6 million tickets sold. The thin white duke was at the height of his power and Carole Pope was there to be a part of it. Journey with her back to 1983 for the Incident!
