Once again, Canada Live is your "you-heard-it-here-first" headquarters. Patrick Watson, Montreal's maverick musical maven, just released his newest album, Adventures In Your Own Backyard, here in Canada.
We had the good fortune to host Patrick Watson and his eponymous band in Toronto's Glenn Gould Studio, where they offered a preview of the disc to a packed house. Given Watson's track record to date (Juno nomination, Polaris Prize winner), we'd do well to pay attention to what this latest record has to offer. Should it have the cultural resonance of its predecessors, you'll be particularly glad you caught the April 19 episode of Canada Live (or heard the concert on Concerts on Demand). You'll get a taste of the live sound of this record before the band starts touring it madly.

I also encourage you to visit Patrick Watson's website. It wins for coolest homepage I've seen in a while, hands down.
Peace,
