At the Juno Award ceremonies on Sunday, singer-songwriter Jim Cuddy and his bandmates from Blue Rodeo will head on stage for the band's  well-earned induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. What must make this even sweeter for Cuddy is that he’s also nominated for two Junos this year: one for songwriter of the year and another for best adult alternative album. They're both for Cuddy's third solo recording, Skyscraper Soul.

For his My Playlist session, the extremely easy going Cuddy ("Do you want me to do anything again?") surrounded himself with a lot of his favourite bands and artists; folks he’s either shared a stage with, long time friends along with musicians he has simply long admired. A lot of the musicians fit into all three categories. Jim Cuddy’s playlist includes The Weakerthans, Sarah Harmer, Kathleen Edwards, The Sadies, Paul McCartney and Jackson Browne.

Congratulations, Blue Rodeo on your induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame! I have been fan almost from the beginning.  I remember when you played a little bar in Kitchener called 'Stages'. You're an amazing band!  Jim, I still have a crush on you even after 25 years!

Thoroughly enjoyable playlist.  Thanks, Jim.  I very much appreciated your interesting and articulate commentary, as well.  Thanks also for a great evening's entertainment last month at The Grand Theatre in Kingston.  We enjoy listening to your latest CD and our 14 year old son has started downloading Blue Rodeo.  All is not lost!
