listenAfter waving goodbye to his punk rock past Rob Moir (Ex Dead Letter Dept.) decided to go solo. He then proceeded to play his way around the world, guitar in hand. He traveled throughout Europe and beyond on a shoestring budget playing for his supper and a place to sleep. He even traveled across Canada playing guitar for passengers on the train in the buffet car.

For Moir it’s about music, not glory. He plays with the same passion and commitment to five people as he does to a packed club and that’s what makes him such a great performer to watch. He’s still a punk rocker at heart even if his new music is tinged with country and folk. For his latest album This Is The Lie Moir teamed up with a band called the Great Lakes. The album's title track is a freewheeling, large spirited ode to wanderlust.
