When Richard Wagner died on February 13, 1883 at the age of 69, the world lost not only a brilliant composer, but also a musical innovator, a poet, an essayist, a folklorist, a visionary, an egotist (possibly a megalomaniac) and an anti-Semite. A controversial figure, to say the least.

A romp around the internet reveals that Wagner and his music continue to enthrall musicians and thinkers to this day.
