Fifty-three years ago this week Buddy Holly, along with Ritchie Valens, J. P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson, and their pilot, Roger Peterson perished in a tragic plane crash.

Today on The R3-30 we ask, "Had he lived, what Canadian indie song could Buddy Holly have written?" You pitched songs and then voted on them. Now we'll reveal the results.

Of course, we'll also count down the most popular songs on R3, including posing an R3-30 FunClub Question to X3 Artist of the Month, John K. Samson!

Next week, as Part 1 of our Valentine's Day observance, we'll be rating your favourite Canadian indie duets - of any configuration (as long as it's a duet)! Head to The R3-30 FunClub to pitch and or vote on a duet that you think should be on the list.
