New Order took the production duties on the dub version of “Touched by the Hand of God,” rechristening it “Touched by the Hand of Dub.” It’s a good melding of dub aesthetics with elements of the original song and grooves along quite nicely.
If you haven’t seen the video for the original “Touched by the Hand of God,” it’s quite remarkable. It consists of footage of the band dressed up as a cheesy 80s hair-metal band, complete with explosions and car chases. I don’t think I’ve ever seen New Order having that much fun since then.
