It's Thursday and that means it's time for Shotgunning, and joining me is Sam Parton of Vancouver's The Be Good Tanyas.
The much loved (and missed for the past few years) trio of singers and musicians made us all fall in love with old-time country/folk music and harmonies back in 2000 with their debut Blue Horse. Since then they went on to charm the world with songs like "The Littlest Birds," and many fine covers.
Last year the band reformed after a three-year break for some shows, to release Blue Horses on vinyl...and now play some more shows: February 11 in Vancouver and the 12th in Victoria, BC.
Sam joins me today for some drivin and playin. And thoughts on a haircut for me. Hmmm, not convinced she's right on this one.
