I'll be at some of the Shivering Songs events in Freddy Beach this weekend for sure. Going to the songwriters circle tomorrow and later that night going to the late night show with Snailhouse. Should be fun. Hope to meet Lisa there!

This weekend, I am going home to visit my puppy! (and my family too, they kind of come with the puppy).

I am also going to see Harlan Pepper and Blackie and the Rodeo Kings in Cochrane.

Knitting my spring collection of underwear as the winter ones are all but worn through.

Noo! I was mistakenly listed headlining a show with Zachary Lucky on the Phog website, but I'll actually be away in Hawaii. Even though it'll be suuuper awesome to be in Hawaii, I'll still feel bad that I won't be playing that show.

Looking forward to the Willie Currie show tomorrow night though!

I went to see that movie with Mrs. TB3 in the theatre — I believe one of the first movies we saw together on a date. I had no idea Valens life story and was quite shocked by the ending.

Back to the Future marathon at my local theatre.

The picture makes me miss Lana all the more, and so look forward to hearing about her new gig soon. She had traveled to NYC that week for vacation and came to CMJ that night. The Elwins weren't even gigging at CMJ but had come down from Toronto to support their pals in Papermaps who were playing Oct. 19.

As for the spring, I'm excited to have free time more than anything else. I will be looking forward to Home Country for sure :D Festivals have never been my thing (I hate crowds), but who knows. I'm always open to expanding my horizons.

The Red Wings must have won last night!

I should've bought my Sasquatch! tickets back in December... the lineup is always ridiculously awesome and the venue is easily the best in the world.  This year I think Sasquatch blows Coachella out of the water for "content" outside of the headliners.  (Let's be real.... Radiohead would be cool but they're probably boring at midnight when you've been drinking all day)

I'm super excited for Girl Talk, Nero, Jack White, Jack Black, Childish Gambino, Bon Iver, Beck, and Shabazz Palaces (plus a million others).

There's a bunch of Canadian acts as most years, but I think the most interesting thing they did was the addition of a Seattle Hip Hop Stage. 

I think I'll be spending a lot of time cruising between there and the dance tent and the main stage as the subheadliners are all kind of....meh.  Indie bands really start to sound the same after a while.

We'll probably be ready to do an official lineup reveal, live with you Grant, come March.

Yeah.  That lineup is amazing. Would much prefer to go to that than Coachella, but probably won't make it to either.  Unless someone comes up with a VIP pass for Saturday, and it isn't 115F, Coachella is a definite no.

I am going to SXSW. Would love to explore some other Canadian fests in the summer but NXNE and Home County are already sounding so good (In terms of R3ers going) I may have to repeat last year's NXNE/Mariposa/Home County plan.

I went to both Sasquatch and Coachella last year. Both were great! This year Sasquatch's line up looks better (but I'm going to skip both and go hiking instead).

The Gorge is the best outdoor concert venue in the world.  If there's even ONE band you'll like, it'll be the best concert you've ever been to.

good rule. always follow the peeps who take you to the good parties.  I get followed because I had good backstage access skills.  It must be something about people called Christine (er I wasn't christened flagpole oddly enough)

as for the Queen thing - it catches my eye because there's a handful of us gals who are Rodeo Queens (prior to the new duets album). the wives, girlfriends, partners, sisters, etc. I qualify as 'sister from another mother' but i've been so removed I say Rodeo Princess.

I was there for the great Sasquatch hail storm of '06, but was watching the Constantines, not Neko Case (it was a tough decision). But last year it was really nice and dunny for the most part, I was tanning in the camp site and my black jeggings were burning my legs. I reccomend it, but dress in layers!

I'm not a festival person. Mainly since I know I'll be back in Newfoundland and won't be attending! As fun as a festival is, you end up missing so many shows since you can't see them all, and that bothers me a little. 

That being said, the Sasquatch lineup does look great!
