Rapper Shad is fresh off the back of his Canada Reads win. Shad was defending the Non-fiction book Something Fierce by Carmen Aguirre. It came out on top thanks to Shad’s book smarts and his ferocious battle cry “No Compromise!”
Shad is one of the kings of Canadian hip-hop, but after his Canada Reads win he could also add these titles to his resume:
"The Paperback Prince", "The Lord of Literature" or "The Bookshelf Baron"!
