Vancouver's unoffical international goodwill ambassadors, Said The Whale, sound off with "Heavy Ceiling" from 2012's Little Mountain.
Co-captains Tyler Bancroft and Ben Worcester take the band into murky waters with this bass-driven darker pop trudge. "Heavy Ceiling" is full of thick riffs, a pressing tempo, urgent synths and shows that Said The Whale can make baleful beauty as easily as their sunnier samplings.
