Tony Dekker has been releasing majestic folk music under the moniker Great Lake Swimmers since 2003. Weaving evocative lyrics around one repeating guitar figure and punctuated in turn by crashing percussion and lilting violins, "Put There By The Land" (from the 2007 release Ongiara), sees Dekker at the top of his game.

It's the kind of song you can imagine your extended family playing in the glow of a roaring fire while you watched unnoticed from the top of the stairs on some unnamed winter night, years ago.
