Freed and Found is an ongoing feature where the staff of CBC Music digg though YouTube and only post the gold.

It really happened. The year was 1969. Somehow, some television producer convinced Tom Jones to sing in a live television studio performance with Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. At first, yes, it seems improbable, especially when you consider the song — “Long Time Gone,” a classic hippie counterculture anthem. And yes, Tom Jones does look a bit, just a bit, out of step with the guys. But then he sings, and, whoa, even David Crosby looks impressed. Steven Stills sings along like he wants to prove a point, and Neil Young looks seriously stoked. It’s a fascinating and magnificent moment.
