Today, Matt Mays is releasing an intimate new video for "Loveless," the second single from his recent album, Coyote. For the video, the Halifax rocker enlisted friends Doug Graham and Ted McInnes to capture the song live off the floor — the very same recording that you'll hear on the new album.

The video follows one great CBC Music video session we released in September to mark the release of Coyote. For the session, Mays performed the new single, along with "Dull Knife," "Indio" and "Take it on Faith."

Mays has also earned a nomination in the sexiest artist category of the CBC Radio 3 Bucky Awards, with fellow nominees Ashleigh Ball (Hey Ocean!), Lindi Ortega, Jaycelyn Brown (Said the Whale) and Bahamas (Afie Jurvanen). Voting for the Fan Choice Award closes on Wednesday, Nov. 28, with a winner to be announced on Friday, Dec. 7.

In other Matt Mays news, the rocker will be performing at the Juno Concert Series on Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Horseshoe Tavern alongside Jay Malinowski, Hannah Georgas, Max Kerman of Arkells, Nils Edenloff of Rural Alberta Advantage and more. Tickets are available at Maple Music.
