It's time for the 2012 Bucky Awards!

CBC Radio 3 is dedicated to bringing you the best independent music that Canada has to offer. And once a year, we celebrate the very best of the best, honouring the year's finest with the prestigious Bucky Awards.

Unlike SOME awards we could mention, the Buckys aren't decided by a shadowy cabal of old men, locked in a dusty room in the basement of the CBC headquarters. Well, a few of them are, but mostly the Bucky Awards are decided by YOU, our beloved listeners.

Listen again to all the winners on the Buckys podcast

The day begins at 10am ET/7am PT with the first award - the sexiest artist of the year - and culminates with The Golden Bucky for song of the year at 5:30pm ET/2:30pm PT. A podcast version of the Buckys gala will be released immediatley following the announcement of The Golden Bucky.

I nominate Vancouver's 'No Sinner' for Best New Artist, but it's ridiculous to try and pick a Best Song ...http://www.rokline.com/no-sinner
