Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger celebrated a birthday a few days ago and one of the articles I came across celebrated his career of amazing duets. I guess if you've got it going on, why not find someone equally great to make some magic.

As usually happens while at YouTube, you start once place and end up at some many others. I've been sitting at my desk for the past few hours moving from Endless Love and Ain't no Mountain High Enough to Johnny Cash and Joe Strummer and Iggy Pop with Debbie Harry. I really could have spent the whole day watching and listening. And I know I'm not alone in my love of harmonies and shared electricity.

So on today's show: A Celebration of the Musical Duet. I'll be playing as many as I can dig up in our vast collection of indie Canadian gems, and while you kick back and enjoy those, do tell...

no holiday weekend here in Massachusetts. we are having a tax holiday on August 14th and 15th. Not the same. very sad.

One thing I miss about Canada was the insistance each month of the summer that there would be a long weekend. Even if we were totally making stuff up.
