Everything is bigger in Texas… especially music festivals.

SXSW gets going this week and CBC Radio 3 wants to make sure you get in on the action.

It all kicks off with an old fashioned Texas BBQ on Wednesday at 3pm Central live from Brush Square.  It’s the Canadian Blast BBQ hosted by Craig Norris.  Featuring performances by Buck 65, Jenn Grant, Diamond Rings, Imaginary Cities, PS I Love You, and More or Les.

Thursday afternoon at 3pm Central, there is going to be a big ol’ ho-down.  Craig Norris and Bandeapart’s Alexandre Courteau are hosting the Franco M Daytime Party live from Planet Quebec.  Performances for your musical pleasure include: Malajube, Karkwa, and Meta Gruau.

Friday afternoon at 4pm Central we are throwing a hootenanny smack dab outside Canada House.  Craig Norris will be officiating this block party with street sessions from Bonjay and Leif Vollebekk.

If you’re in Austin come down and join us – all of our shows are free events!  All shows are also live broadcasts, so you can also just sit back, listen and enjoy – minus the BBQ heartburn.
