There are lots of amazing words people use to try and describe music: it rocks, slays, lulls – to name just a few. The word that first came to mind after I heard Woodpigeon’s “Piano Pieces for Adult Beginners” was hypnotic.

From that opening piano melody, I was lost. If the song had just stayed like that, I would have been pleased. But then it opens up to the full band wrapped around Mark Hamilton’s vocals imploring something of me “hold on, it’s always best to take another chance.”

After listening to the song countless times I add haunting and unforgettable. See what you find in your musical thesaurus.
