Its going to be a grey, wet week in Vancouver, though, judging
by the weather report, it’s getting sunnier and warmer around many cities in
Canada (Iqaluit, sorry, you’re still at -31).
Studies have shown that nice weather improves memory, moods
and helps us think. According to one article, the best temperature for humans
is 22C (72F). So, would places remaining steady near 22C put out superior music? (Well, there are a lot of songs about California…)
I’ve heard many times that what keeps Canadians inside for a
lot of the year also sparks creativity in music communities, and that is the
cold winter.
Are there more songs
about sunshine than rain? (Why do I want to sing a James Taylor song all of a
sudden?). What weather sparks your creativity?
Today on Lanarama, you, me and the weather. Should you have a sunny/rainy/snowy/autumn
track you’d like to here, let me know!
