A whole
new year, a whole new set of dramatic readings, courtesy of the fine songwriters
that fill up our car radios – and film soundtracks – every day.
And who
didn’t love Mike Myers playing his own Scots-loving-dad in So I Married an Axe
Murderer, dancing to Saturday night from the Bay City Rollers?
That
question is rhetorical. Although not a great film, it was certainly a pretty
darned good film. And that’s not bad, especially if you sat through Benjamin
Button or anything with Jennifer Aniston.
On
today’s show a dramatic reading of the Scottish classic that includes my new
personal motto for 2010: “Gonna rock it up, roll it up, do it all, have a ball”
Feel free to use it, too!
