Today's Guest: Japandroids

Good morning!

Today we continue with our week of Band Milestones, focusing on bands that have had a chance to play Late Night TV shows like Letterman, Conan, Kimmel and others. Significant in a band's career for sure considering the huge number of people watching and potentially buying songs or coming to the next gig.

Plus, you get to say: "We just played Letterman!!" That sounds pretty good.

I once performed on Open Mike with Mike Bullard (I still have the coffee mug) and let me tell you, I was nervous - nervous that I would make a mistake, play the wrong chord or forget the lyrics. On today's show, I'll tell you what really happened that night and we'll play a selection of Canadian artists with late night TV appearances under their belts.

Some of the artists we'll play on today's show are featured here in these "must see" clips:

MSTRKRFT on Jimmy Kimmel here

The Arcade Fire on SNL here

Chad VanGaalen on Letterman here

Death From Above 1979 on Conan here

Feist on Letterman here

Broken Social Scene on Letterman here

Also, we'd like to hear from you on the question:

HAVE YOU EVER BEEN ON TV? Ever been an extra? A walk on? A stand in? Even if it was just your local TV station, tell us about it. OR, what show would you LIKE to be on? If you've ever been to a taping of a Late Night TV show, what was it like?

Post your comments on the blog.
