Last night, while listening to R3, they played my all-time favorite song (it is, in fact, also my cell ringtone) - Don't Think Twice It's Alright by, who else, Bob Dylan!  Congrat CBC R3 - your cred just exploded (I didn't think it was possible, but there ya go).

(For those wondering, they were talking about artist who "can't sing" - IE - have distinctive voices)

Also, I'd like to turn a few people on to an amazing Nova Scotia find I made last night (although somebody, via Tiwtter, told me they've already broken-up - can anybody confirm?)

Well, whatever happened to them I hope it results in me getting one bunch of bananas, I gave them a 20 to drop it on my roof on their way by.  I don't think I'll be seeing my $20 bill or the equivalant of banana products I was promised.

Due to Nafta I think what Craig and Pedro are doing is totally legit.  Doesn't matter how you get your bananas as long as you pay for them.

  Ummm for religion, would The Dears Postcards From Purgatory work? I think so..I mean with the mention of purgatory and all. Staying on that note, a couple of years back I heard that the Catholic Church has decided that purgatory no longer exists. Oh thanks for clearing that up Catholicism! We will no longer wait around in limbo anymore. I could be wrong about the purgatory thing, I have a vague memory of someone telling me that.

Oh yes! I love that album. For me that time in canadian Indie was soooo good!! Not to say that it is NOT now. I just really loved alot that was coing out at that time. It makes me super sad that the Unicorns are no longer. I love the Islands but sadly not as much as the Unicorns

Body parts: Worried head by Valerie Gore

I like the farm animals idea - since we had a wilderness one already. Christine Fellow's Spinster's Almanac (and that bit about the chickens) could fit in this theme. We could just say domestic animals and add all the songs about cats and dogs.

Or, just a theme about birds as there are so many and lots of those wilderness suggestions were actually bird suggestions.  Such a Common Bird by Wendy McNeil is another bird connection but there are SOOO many more...

oh man. hearing buck 65 just reminded me of his song, blood of a young wolf! a quick page search revealed TM&TT suggested it for body parts, but would work for wildlife...

the first line is "ten thousand horses, sable island,..." which sable island is full of wild horses. i'm told it is extremely protected. you need a special permit to go there, and apparently that permit is lots of $$.

I've heard him live twice at the Sheep. Absolutely impressive. Missed him deejaying though.
