Baba Brinkman is on, well, the brink already this year. The man has been a touring machine as he jumps around the US of A, the UK and Australia promoting his last few years of work. Baba brought medieval hip-hop to the world as the award-winning creator of The Rap Canterbury Tales, and is continuing his career abroad, working under his own name with international rappers or signing them to his independent label Lit Fuse Records. When he's not touring, Baba finds time to become a published author, educator, and poet.

 Translation: he's a busy guy.

His latest video, "Valediction", dramatizes the impact these constant tours have had on his past relationships. We caught up with Baba just as he was off yet again to tour in support of his latest release, "The Rebel Cell".

Post Script: Look out for a swarm of Baba Brinkman videos coming out at the end of the year. The Wellcome Trust, former home of arch-atheist Richard Dawkins, has approved the production of a series of videos for the Rap Guide to Evolution CD. All 12 tracks will be filmed over the course of 2010.
