When you listen to her album you taken away by her voice, but you have to wonder how much of this is real or a just dream? Then you see her live and realize she it is all too real and all too lovely.

Well since it seems I can nominate more than one I have to also suggest Julie Fader be placed on this list. Her voice is just incredible!

That saying I have to agree with Casey Mecija and Dan Mangan being on the list as well.

Mother Mother - Ryan's falsetto should have an award of its own

Emily Haines voice is the definition of sexy, and are one of a very small handful of artists that can pull off a throaty whisper without sounding like a molester.

Amber Webber! Wow. Enough said.

one of the hilights of Joel Plaskett's new disc were the vocals of Anna Egge (sp?) and Rose Cousins! One might even make the argument they stole the show..... They definitely added a new element to the JP sound.

It might get nominated for worst vocals depending on the person, but theres something to be said about Pink Eyes' growl.

Probably won't be considered due to American collaboration, but Feist was a darling on Wilco's You & I, and John Doe was fantasic on the Sadies country album.

Stina Agustsdottir, lead singer of Nista.

Her powerful vocals make you want to sing along with her, they make you want to cry, they make you smile. Her voice is so rare in music today, she is not afraid to let it all out, too many singers today sing with almost a whisper. Stina's voice definitely stands out.

I know it looks like' on-Rae", but that key on my keyboard does not work. You know who I mean. You really don't miss that letter much in normal daily use. No hurry to replace the keyboard.

Hannah Georgas. Every song on her EP is exquisitely delivered.

Some great nominations put forward up there. Julie Fader, Jenn Grant are my other favourites. The male singers don't stand a chance this year.
