First of all, that is not a goatee up there; it's just the most substantial part of a travel beard I was/am cultivating. I am not a fan of goatees or the Singles Soundtrack for that matter. Secondly, this show marks the conclusion of my report from Sappyfest, which took place last weekend in Sackville, NB and today I bring you the thoughts and wisdom of many guests.

As you may know, Thursdays are traditionally my Breakfast Club shows, where I go and share a meal with someone while I'm interviewing them. Well, I feel very lucky because R3 listeners Vanessa and Kim Blackier organized a big group pancake breakfast last Saturday, inviting friends and fellow listeners to drop by Vanessa's house. Pictured above from left to right: MikeV, Kim, Vanessa, Kim Thayil, fumblebee, and Martin Cathrae

So you'll be hearing a bit about our breakfast, not to mention some other people's ideas about early morning food. To be specific, stay tuned (or skip ahead) for:

New Sackville resident Steven Lambke of Baby Eagle/Constantines telling us about his move;

The origins of the first annual meeting of the east coast chapter of the R3 Breakfast Club;

The menu items and participants at said meeting;

After their great Calm Down It's Monday set, Julie Doiron and Fred Squire pontificating about why Sackville is A#1;

Indie-rock icon/K Records founder Calvin Johnson suggesting why Sappyfest works so well;

The George's Roadhouse Breakfast Situation (oh, you'll see) with fellow frustrated patron Rachel from Brantford;

New Brunswick-bred Snailhouse spilling some beans about his mostly new-song set;

Lisa Gamble from Clues talking about electrocution at the Hillside Festival and the importance of a good breakfast on the road ;

Destroyer refusing (refusing!) to tell me what he had for breakfast;

Okay, that's it. Please enjoy the show. At your leisure even...
