Said the Whale Interview:

Jeremy Fisher Interview:

CBC Radio 3 is always changing, and big changes are indeed afoot in the coming weeks and months. Besides launching our new website, we also have the opportunity of opening up our playlist to include international artists.

The proposed split would be 85% Canadian, 15% international. But before we make any decisions, as always, we want to hear what you think!

This brings us to our...

Poll Question of the Day: SHOULD CBC RADIO 3 PLAY INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS? VOTE NOW

Yes or no? American? European? Japanese? Australian? African? This split already exists on our Sirius 86 channel, although web radio has always been 100% Can-Con. It's a huge decision! Wintersleep and the White Stripes? King Khan and the Kings of Leon? Black Mountain and Black Kids?

Let us know what you think by posting them to our blog, emailing feedback@cbcradio3.com, twittering us @cbcradio3, or voting in our poll!

Ok... it's time for the Top Five Must-See Events of the weekend!!

Sat June 6 - Bidiniband, Toronto ON. As part of the band's CD release Dave Bidini is inviting fans to go to gigs all day across Toronto and calling it the "Hoser March". The last stop is The Horseshoe Tavern w/Laura Barrett.

Sun June 7 - Julie Doiron, Bruno, SK.  Though this Juno winning singer is playing Saskatoon on Sat. w/ Dog Day we thought we'd pick this solo show in remote Bruno at artist owned-and-operated All Citizens. (Thanks Nathan on FB.)

Fri June 5 - Jeremy Fisher, Vancouver BC.  What better way to celebrate this B.C. heat wave than to catch our in-studio guest open for Blue Rodeo in Stanley Park's open air amphitheatre Malkin Bowl.

Fri June 5 - Jon Epworth, Halifax, NS. Support Jon as he steps away from the Improvements to release his new solo album Turn Off Your Name @ The Parragon w/ Glory Glory Man United (Thanks Rob on FB)

Sat June 6 - The Dears, Winnipeg, MB. A night of melodramatic anthems at the newly renovated West End Cultural Centre w/ Jets Overhead.

And if we've missed any gig or event you think people in your town must see and do let us know by posting on our blog, emailing feedback@cbcradio3.com, or twittering us @cbcradio3.

Also on the show, two of Vancouver's finest... Jeremy Fisher and Said The Whale!
