Life never ceases to amaze me. First, a
giant spider mecha attacks
Liverpool, then someone takes
Jijou's Paper Doll to
Africa.
This month's winner of a
Jijou Collectible Trading Card is
Mandi Rondeau of Carvel, Alberta. The story of her pictures, in her own words:
"I was in Ghana for 7 weeks this summer volunteering in an orphanage. I brought the Jijou doll with me and was
taking him on a tour of the orphanage when the kids saw
you and all wanted pictures taken with you. The kids asked me why I was
carrying around a "doll" and I tried my best to explain who you were.
In the end it didn't really matter because they loved you
anyways...they even fought over who got to have more pictures taken
with you. They were absolutely thrilled to have you there and one of
the girls even mended your shirt for you when it ripped. The mustache was to prove that you could grow your own f**king mustache. (That
Wet Secrets song is my friend's favourite)"
Mandi uploaded half a dozen pics from the orphanage over at the
Flickr Pool (remember, you have to join the pool to see all the images). Look around because the little tyrant is going to more and more countries every week.
Hey, why not
download your own Jijou paper doll and take him with you wherever you go? Yeah, why not?
