It all began with a contest Grant was having around the Polaris Music Prize. Rob Pingle entered to win, and I noticed in his email signature that he also hosts an all Canadian music show on CFUV in Victoria.
Being a nosy type of gal, I wrote him back to see if he'd like to send a Station Shout Out, and he was down.
Since then, Rob (also known on the R3 blog as RobDub) and I have bonded over beetroot on burgers (that's what they do in New Zealand) and he has introduced me to some fine island sounds.
