The clock is ticking for the Halifax Pop Explosion.

In less than 24 hours, hordes of indie rockers and fans will descend upon the port city to eat what are allegedly "the world's best donairs", and catch 110 bands performing at 20 venues across the city over the next five days.

Unlike many other festivals, HPE touts a down-home East Coast sensibility in that there are no VIP sections (nice work that), and no private gigs for industry wonks, so it's very fan oriented. Which brings me to a little show we're putting on this coming Saturday...

If you’re in town, come on down to CBC Radio 3’s showcase on Saturday, October 20th at the Marquee featuring; Miracle Fortress, Pride Tiger, Land of Talk, Mother Mother, and Eric’s Trip. Craig Norris and Amanda Putz will be your hosts for the evening.

For everyone else who can't make it to Halifax, we've cooked up something special. The show will be live on SIRIUS Channel 94, and it will also be our first live broadcast on internet radio. That's right... you can catch all the great acts, odor-free, in the comfort of your own home! Okay... I know it's not exactly as good as being there, but it's still okay, no?

Show starts at 9:00 PM ET. Be there or be square.
