NXNE time again. Thinking back to previous years, CBC Radio 3 has done some incredible live broadcasts from the Horseshoe Tavern, and this year is going to be no exception. Make sure you get down to the Horseshoe Tavern early on Saturday June 9th ‘cause CBC Radio 3 and Sirius Satellite Radio are presenting another killer line-up of bands, with Tariq Hussain and Craig Norris riding shotgun.

Kicking things off for us is the old-time country styling's of the United Steel Workers of Montreal (and let me stress I have seen them live and they are fantastic!). At 10:00pm we have one of Toronto's best indie pop bands Ohbijou, followed up at 11:00pm by Sebastien Grainger et Les Montagnes. Sebastien is formerly the other half of Death From Above 1979 and I've been told this is his first official performance in Toronto. I'm sure his set will be a must-see! After that, Vancouver's You Say Party! We Say Die! takes the stage before we close the night out with two of Halifax's best bands In-Flight Safety (again a fantastic band to see live), and Two Hours Traffic (who are about to release a much anticipated new album). I'm sure there will be lots to see at NXNE but this is a killer showcase from beginning to end!

If you can't attend, then please tune in to CBC Radio 3 (Channel 94 on Sirius Satellite Radio) and listen to the entire night live, starting at 9:00 PM ET.

James Booth is CBC Radio 3's Music Director, so he knows what the hell he's talking about.

Two Hours Traffic is from Halifax? I thought those guys were from Charlottetown, unless they have relocated...?
