CBC Radio 3 hooks up with our French cousins at Bandeapart.fm to bring you the country’s best new bands in an unprecedented cross-Canada tour of emerging Canadian musical talent.

Twenty-seven bands showcasing the best in French and English independent music play shows in eight cities across the country with each concert featuring fresh line-ups of local bands. Oh… and the best part is all shows are free. Free as in no money. Free as in just get your ass to the venue, grab a drink, and give’r.

Tour Tournée kicks off on February 23th in Charlottetown as part of the East Coast Music Awards, followed by shows in Moncton, Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, and Edmonton. The tour comes to an exciting and possibly sticky finish on March 11th at the Lamplighter in Vancouver.

Radio 3’s Lauren Burrows and Bandeapart’s Alex Courteau ride tour shotgun, keeping us abreast of happenings on the road. All concerts will be recorded for future broadcast on CBC Radio 3 and Bandeapart.fm on Sirius Satellite Radio.
