Next Tuesday, A.C. Newman will release Shut Down the Streets, the long-awaited followup to 2009's Get Guilty. It's the third solo record for the New Pornographer and part-time beekeeper, and it was recorded earlier this year at his home in Woodstock, N.Y.

Huffington Post is featuring a stream of the album courtesy of Matador Records and Last Gang, which you can stream by hitting play in the window below. In his blog post, Newman says the album "is all about birth, death, happiness and sadness, chronicling a time in my life where all those things had to learn to coexist side by side."
