Last weekend, while watching a Teen Wolf marathon on MuchMusic, it occurred to me that MuchMusic used to show music videos. In fact, back in the '90s, when MTV stopped showing videos, Americans would rave about MuchMusic for continuing to show music videos.

Those days are gone. Now the nation's music station still plays music videos, but you're more likely to find them showing Mean Girls or Degrassi. You can't just switch over to Much at any time of day and see something cool.

So we decided to compile a list of our memories from MuchMusic's glory days, many of which have been preserved on YouTube after being transferred from some shaky old VHS tapes. Check them out in the gallery above.

I remember almost all of these!

Video Dance Parties are still around. I've seen ads recently. We had them in junior high (in the mid-90s)  and they were always fun.

I attended a Much Music Video Dance Party in my grade 7 year in the 90s. It was slightly better than other dances, which features the same playlist but without a projector.

One of our high school dances was a Much Video Dance Party. I don't remember it being much different than the other dances except for the video screens.

The good old days.  I especially loved The Wedge, and watched it up until just a few years ago.

Wow, great feature! Brings back many memories. In high school I would stay up to watch The Wedge on Friday nights, I still try to catch it, but it's certainly gone through a lot of changes. And Al Music was so awesome

It feels strange to be old enough to remember when muchmusic played music.

Really, the Wedge? The Wedge? Wasn't that the half-assed replacement for City Limits? Christopher Ward, anyone? I don't think people who reference the Wedge are old enough to be posting on this topic. Yes, I am old. And a snob. Now you kids get off my lawn!
