Every month there are thousands of new songs, albums and gigs, but every so often we take a look at the non-musical products released by musicians. Here is some of the best merch from July.
1. Deadmau5 clothing line.

(Neff)
Canadian electronic artist Deadmau5 has announced his first clothing line, a collaboration with California streetwear company Neff. The collection, called Neffmau5, is currently available online and features variations on the artist’s mouse head logo. Included in the Neffmau5 collection are T-shirts, hoodies and caps, which are pretty much the only items you ever see Deadmau5 wearing. Well, that and jeans. Oh yeah, and a giant mouse helmet.
2. Big Boi socks.

(Big Boi's Twitter)
The Outkast member and solo rapper recently told GQ that he has partnered with Crooks and Castles to design a line of socks. Following that, he began tweeting examples of some of the designs, like this and this. Plenty of rappers design footwear, so what’s the big deal? Well, not a lot of rappers proclaim themselves the “sock king.” Furthermore, check out the photo above. Those socks have little capes on them!
3. James Hetfield glasses.

(Sutro)
Metallica frontman James Hetfield has partnered with San Francisco’s Sutro Vision to create a pair of sunglasses. Simply called “The Hetfield,” these shades are available on Metallica’s website. According to the site, the shades are “road-worthy and built to last.” They also look like every pair of sunglasses Hetfield has ever worn. They’re the perfect eyewear, whether you’re mastering puppets or entering sandmen.
